This Privacy Policy explains how Forjia handles information in connection with PollenEU, an Android app for pollen information in Europe.

No account required
PollenEU does not require users to create an account or sign in to use the app.
No ads and no sale of user data
PollenEU does not include ads. PollenEU does not sell user data. Forjia does not use the app to sell users' personal information to third parties.
Location permission
Location permission is optional. Location is only used when the user chooses “Use my location” and grants Android location permission. PollenEU uses location only to show pollen, weather-related, air quality, or similar environmental information for the selected or current location.
PollenEU does not use background location access. Users can disable location permission at any time in Android system settings.
Manual city search and selected locations
The app can also be used by manually searching for or selecting a city. City search text may be sent to Open-Meteo geocoding services to find matching locations.
Notification permission
If notification permission is requested and granted, PollenEU uses notifications only for pollen alerts, reminders, or related app alerts if the user enables them. Users can disable notifications at any time in Android system settings.
Open-Meteo services
PollenEU uses Open-Meteo services for weather, pollen, air quality, and geocoding data. More information is available from Open-Meteo:
When the app requests data from Open-Meteo, selected city names or coordinates may be transmitted to Open-Meteo so the requested information can be returned.
Local app data
Selected cities, favourite cities, selected allergens, notification preferences, dismissed reminder state, and cached app data may be stored locally on the device.
PollenEU does not operate its own server database for user accounts or personal profiles. Local app data can be removed by clearing app storage or uninstalling the app.

Children's privacy
PollenEU is not intended to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact Forjia.
